How to take your pet into the wild

Ellenwood Equestrian Center has added a new dog park with a $1,000 fee.

The facility has partnered with the animal rescue group Animal Haven to launch the new pet-friendly pet-centric dog park.

Ellenbrook Equestrians will be accepting new adoptable dogs from July 8 through July 14.

A fee of $1.50 will apply to all adoptable pets and pets in the Ellenbets program.

A special discount of up to $200 will apply for dogs up to six months old.

The new dog-centric pet park at Ellenwoods Animal Haven will be located at the Ellenswood Senior Center at the northeast corner of I-84 and South Park Road.

It will feature a new pet park with 50 new and gently-used kennels and crates and a variety of other amenities, including a pet wash and laundry area.

Dogs will be allowed in the park for up to 12 hours daily, with dogs allowed at the park from 4 p.m. to 6 p.p.m., and dogs are permitted to play on the property from 4 a.m to 6 a.g.

Pets are allowed to remain on the Ellinwood senior center property until their adoption is approved by a local animal shelter.
