Dallas Stars win Stanley Cup in dramatic fashion for fourth straight year

Dallas Stars defenseman Antoine Roussel, who was selected fourth overall in the 2014 NHL Draft by the Colorado Avalanche, has scored three goals in four games in his new team’s 3-1 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday night.

Stars defenseman Antti Niemi, who is back from his four-game suspension for fighting in the National Hockey League, made his NHL debut.

He was injured when he fell down in the crease during the first period of the Stars 3-0 win at American Airlines Center on March 27, 2017.

He scored the winning goal for the Stars against the Philadelphia Flyers in the first round of the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs on April 4.

The Stars will return home Friday to host the New York Rangers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals at AmericanAirlines Arena.

They will then play the Washington Capitals on Sunday in the Conference Semifinals.

Dallas (14-6-5, 67 points) is riding a seven-game winning streak, and leads the Western Conference standings by two points.

The Bolts (13-13-4, 53 points) have lost five straight and are on the brink of elimination.
